We had some great games today and it was good to see Grant join us.

​

Our first game was another Cold War Commander game in 6mm… A meeting engagement between West German and Soviet armoured reconnaissance. Soviets struck first and successfully called in an airstrike pulverising the West German infantry support… Soviet T-64s then advanced into the outskirts of the town, exchanging fire with the West German Leopards. The Soviet IFVs advanced too far and themselves got flattened by a Tornado strike. Game ended with Soviets advancing steadily into the town and the West Germans slowly withdrawing.

Our second game was the Bolt Action tournament game…a good battle with the Germans pushing well but the US managing to snatch some good points at a key moment. A well-played draw.

Our other game was another WW2 Chain of Command game… It appeared to play very well.
